Eduardo Vicente School

Located in La Pedroza, San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras, Eduardo Vicente School supports 61 students, with room to grow to 90 children. The new classroom project was completed in 2023. Many thanks to our partners who are helping bring improved learning conditions to this community.

Serving students in 1st through 6th grade, the school was founded in 2004 and is currently supported by two teachers. Prior to construction, children learned in deteriorating rooms where multiple grades shared limited space, roofs leaked, and sanitation conditions created daily challenges for both students and staff.

The new build includes three classrooms, electricity and lighting, a handwashing station, plumbing and septic systems, aluminum-zinc roofing, and six gender-specific bathrooms. These improvements allow students to learn in safer, cleaner spaces while giving teachers the ability to focus instruction by grade level.

Children from La Pedroza and nearby communities such as Curruste and Villanorma now have an environment that supports dignity, health, and stronger academic outcomes for years to come.
